XTransfer Reaches More Than 1 Million Business Clients as Cross-Border Payments Expand

XTransfer has reached a major milestone, with its global customer base now exceeding 1 million business clients. The development highlights the rapid growth of digital payment platforms as small and medium-sized businesses increasingly look for faster and more convenient ways to handle international trade payments.

Founded in 2017, XTransfer focuses on B2B cross-border payments, helping businesses receive and send money across international markets. Its platform is designed particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises that may not have access to the same international banking infrastructure available to large multinational companies.

The latest milestone marks a significant increase from earlier this year. XTransfer reported approximately 897,000 registered clients as of March 31, 2026, while its latest announcement confirms that the customer base has now moved beyond the one-million mark. The company also says it processed about $60.5 billion in payment transactions during 2025.

The growth comes at a time when international trade is becoming increasingly digital. Businesses selling products overseas need reliable ways to collect payments, manage foreign currencies and transfer money between different countries. Traditional international payments can sometimes involve multiple banks, currency conversions and additional processing costs. Digital platforms such as XTransfer are trying to simplify that process.

The company currently provides payment services across more than 200 countries and regions. Its Local Account service covers nearly 60 countries and regions, allowing businesses to receive payments in local currencies. This can make it easier for exporters and importers to manage cash flow while reducing some of the complexity associated with international transactions.

XTransfer’s expansion is also closely connected with the changing pattern of global trade. Chinese small businesses are increasingly looking beyond traditional markets and exploring opportunities in Asia, Africa, Latin America and other emerging economies. According to recent company data, payment flows from developing regions have been growing as businesses adjust to tariffs, geopolitical uncertainty and changes in global supply chains.

Technology is playing an important role in this expansion. XTransfer uses automated risk-management and compliance systems to help process international transactions. The company has also been expanding its relationships with major financial institutions. In June, it announced partnerships with BBVA and Société Générale aimed at improving cross-border payment infrastructure and financial services for internationally active businesses.

The company has also been increasing its presence in emerging markets. In Latin America, XTransfer has expanded its settlement network, while it has been building partnerships across Southeast Asia, South Asia and Africa. These regions are becoming increasingly important as businesses diversify their supply chains and search for new customers.

For small businesses, easier access to international payments can have a direct impact on growth. A company that can receive overseas payments quickly and manage multiple currencies more efficiently may be able to work with international customers without needing a large finance department.

However, cross-border payments remain a highly regulated business. Companies operating in this sector must comply with anti-money-laundering rules, customer verification requirements and financial regulations in different countries. Maintaining secure systems while expanding into new markets will therefore remain a major challenge.

XTransfer’s one-million-client milestone nevertheless shows how quickly the global B2B payments market is changing. International trade is no longer limited to large corporations. Smaller businesses are increasingly selling internationally, and they need financial services that can keep pace with that expansion.

With more than $60 billion in annual payment volume, a presence in over 200 markets and a customer base now above one million businesses, XTransfer is positioning itself as a major player in the growing digital infrastructure behind global trade.
